Being the fun, innovative online wine people that we are, we thought we'd get all 'new media' on you and show you the variety of ways you can get in touch with us, or contribute to the general conversation, here at Surf4Wine. So, to kick off the 'conversation', I've just made this new page here where I can post my latest thoughts (maybe we'll move the Blog here in time too... or parts of it. Do people like the blog where it is, or prefer it was off front page, here perhaps?) And we will list all my favourite wines here that I'm enjoying right now.... well, not necessarily RIGHT now (don't want to spill any on the keyboard as I type!), but at least current favourites. For those of you who are just nosey... or looking for inspiration,,, or just plain bored! All I have to do now is figure out a way to make it posible for you to comment on my favourite wines - then they can really be part of the conversation too :) I'll try to make it so various random thoughts get included, as Blog pages, or something, so you can comment on these too. Comment, comment, contribute... go on, take part. Please :) Plus, eventually, it might include what I'm up to right now (kindly supplied via my Twitter feed) and my Facebook page profile. (There is also a Surf4Wine/Andrew Chapman Fine Wines Facebook page, but to be honest I'm not THAT clued up on Facebook to make terribly exciting right now... anyone who is a real Facebook geek like to volunteer? There might even be wine in it for helping out!).
Things I'd like to be able to get surf4wine followers involved in future include contributing tasting notes for individual wines, being able to see when the tasting note/comment on a specific wine has been updated, seeing when a photo for a wine has been updated, perhaps even submitting their own photo's of them enjoying that wine. Plus, maybe, if people think it's worth it, a food and wine forum so people can start, and then participate, in their own food and wine conversations. I have a few people already keen on this idea...Any more takers? Anyway, it's safe to say this page and it's contents might evlove over the next few weeks/months as we enounter new stuff and incorporate different technologies/services within it. It'll be exciting... and in the meantime there is always the wine!
